Taipei, ‘City of Azelias’

Taipei is one of Asia’s most underrated business hubs and second richest city in Asia (per capita). Its also know as the ‘City of Azelias’, with a festival showcasing them held annually in March.

Taipei 101 is an iconic NYE staple and one of the world’s most impressive pieces of engineering, with a 660 tonne mass damper between the 87th and 92nd floors to protect against typhoon and earthquake damage.

Underground, the Taipei mall stretches for km, allowing locals to shop, walk, eat and travel without being above ground in the sub-tropical climate.

Taipei is a fast‑growing market, driven by tech, semiconductors, global supply‑chain firms, and international companies expanding into East Asia.

Global operators are present, along with regional brands like The Executive Club and JustCo, as well as boutique and local operators.

Given Taiwan’s status as a global chip powerhouse, there is strong tenant demand from tech, semiconductor, and hardware firms. Startup/Scaleup, supply chain, logistics and trading companies, as well as the usual multinationals and remote project teams.

Premium locations are Xinyi, Da’an and Zhongshan districts. Tech-driven fit-out, including AI and smart office features, is becoming increasingly standard to attract tenants, making it a strong contender for regional HQs in APAC.
